Titre : Creating a Culture of Execution

Conférencier : John Cox, Business Services Manager for Canada, AkzoNobel

Résumé de la conférence :

Have you ever left a conference full of good ideas of what needs to be done only to get back to your business and find yourself in the same spot months, maybe even years later?  Knowing what needs to be done is one thing knowing how to get it done is a whole other game.  It requires clarity of vision, accountability of team members and ultimately the commitment to execute.

Titre : Constrained by KPIs

Conférencier : Stefano LiessiLead consultant / trainer

Résumé de la conférence*:

Answers to a corporate ideology from a non-corporate approach:

  • How’s that workin’ for ya?
    • This is not a typical KPI workshop
    • Introduction: revisit the KPI metric that holds you hostage and develop strategies to work it in your favour.
  • Whose idea was this anyway
    • The valid application of KPIs
    • What and how to understand the environment in which the KPI metric was initially established and how it is intended to be applied to the collision industry.
  • The production of collision widgets and repair doohickies
    • How the relationship is unbalanced
    • An in-depth look at how the compiled data we use to calculate the KPI in the collision industry is far removed from the accurate application of KPI tracking.
  • The dissolution of the illusion of a partner
    • Making sense of the binding criteria
    • A look into how the perception is far from the definition of partner. The insight on why and how this is so.
  • Face it, it’s all upfront
    • Repairing the plan with a repair plan
    • Taking factual data and creating accurate KPI stats that genuinely reflect what your day-to-day business is spending its time on by accounting for every operation for every line item with support.

*Subject to change based on supporting research and not necessarily in that order.

Titre : Global Light Vehicle Sales Outlook with a Focus on Canada

Conférencier : Guido Vildozo, Senior Manager, Americas Light Vehicles Sales Forecasting, S&P Global Mobility

Résumé de la conférence :

  • Recent investments in expanding electrification are set to bolster light vehicle manufacturing in Canada as the industry moves more aggressively towards producing BEVs. These policy actions and investment shifts Canada towards expanding its automotive presence in the North America.
  • We will explore these new investment activities and the exciting new opportunities while outlining potential risks amid the rapidly changing automotive landscape.
  • With policymakers, vehicle manufacturers, parts suppliers and aftermarket players anxious to understand the complexity and implications of transitioning an internal combustion fleet to electric vehicles, the technological complexities and consumer concerns over adoption and affordability continue to be at the forefront of the automotive industry.
  • S&P Global Mobility will provide a briefing on loosening production short comings due to raw material constraints, our macro-economic conditions, and our view to the vehicle sales forecast for Canada.

Titre : Optimizing the Parts Supply Chain

Conférencier : Paul Gange, Advantage Parts Solutions

Résumé de la conférence :

Every aspect of the collision repair industry has experienced disruption, innovation, automation, and consolidation. The one initiative missing from truly advancing our industry to new heights is optimization. Because every industry stakeholder has a level of “waste” built into their processes, our global ability to unearth leakage limits our ability to optimize, specifically, the parts supply chain. In this keynote, Advantage Parts Solutions’ President of North America Paul Gange suggests a new vision that would allow the industry the ability to truly work towards optimization for the absolute benefit of everyone, including, most importantly, the vehicle owner.

Resulting from this presentation, the audience will gain an appreciation of the many “break points” from the various processes of ordering parts as part of the broader collision repair process. Specifically, each segment of the industry will have a better understanding of how they can participate in the optimization process and how they can be a better industry steward of helping improve the overall repair process for the ultimate benefit of vehicle owners.

Titre : The Road to Electrification

Conférencier : Damon Aldrich, EV Strategy Development Director, Enterprise Holding

Résumé de la conférence :

While technology innovation has impacted the way that we communicate, work and even travel, one thing is certain – consumers want convenience, speed and seamless experiences, and technology will continue to make this possible. As one of the world’s largest mobility providers, Enterprise Holdings embraces the responsibility we have to transition our fleet to EVs and are committed to doing so in a thoughtful and equitable way, for the benefit of all stakeholders. Supply chain woes and sluggish infrastructure deployments are among the challenges to making an EV future a reality. We support a combination of public, private and public-private partnerships on the path toward electrification, particularly in the creation of a high-speed charging network. However, one of the simplest roads to adoption could just be the test drive, according to research from Enterprise, which shows that nearly half of consumers intending to rent a vehicle indicate the “test drive” factors into their decision in choosing an EV.
